Krabi Sunset Cruise Itinerary: From Blue Water to Starlight
The outline stays simple—open water, a long golden hour and one last swim after dark—but no two departures follow exactly the same line through Krabi’s islands.

1:00 PM — Leave Ao Nang
The crew welcomes guests aboard in Ao Nang and gives a clear safety briefing before the boat heads toward the limestone islands surrounding the Railay Peninsula.
Once the coastline falls away, settle into the shaded main deck or take the view from the rooftop lounge. Water, soft drinks, fruit and snacks are available throughout the afternoon.
2:00 PM — Open water
The captain chooses stops according to sea conditions, visibility and crowd levels. The compass often points toward the waters around Ya Wa Sam, Chicken Island, Koh Si and Poda, but the experience is intentionally flexible.
Swim, snorkel, use a stand-up paddleboard, take the two-person kayak or stay aboard. Non-swimmers are welcome; tell the crew and they will provide flotation equipment and stay close in the water.
6:00 PM — Dinner at sunset
As the light begins to warm, the Thai buffet is served on deck. The route turns back toward the dramatic limestone cliffs, giving the boat an open view of the Andaman sunset.
The buffet includes vegetarian and vegan options when requested. The bar remains open for cocktails, beer and wine while the last light moves across the water.
7:00 PM — Swim after dark
The final stop is made near Phra Nang when conditions permit. Moving through the water can reveal naturally glowing bioluminescent plankton around your hands and feet.
Plankton is a natural phenomenon, so brightness varies. The captain chooses the safest and strongest available location, but no responsible operator can promise the same intensity every night.
